Edwin Rodriguez is a Puerto Rican professional Tenor from New Haven, CT who is bi-lingual in English and Spanish. He is an advanced level coach studio teacher r at New Haven Academy of Performing Arts and the current conductor for Cabaret on Main Theater. Edwin studied Vocal Performance at Western Connecticut State University under Roy Mazzacane and Margaret Astrup and currently studies under Master Vocal Coach  Billy DiCrosta.
Edwin's opera credits include Nemorino in Donizetti’s “L’Elisir D’Amore”, Tamino in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”, The Duke of Plaza-Toro in Gilbert and Sullivan’s "The Gondoliers", Kaspar in Menotti’s "Amahl and the Night Visitors", and Baron Zeta in Franz Lehar’s "The Merry Widow".
Edwin placed first in the Advanced Division of the 2019 Connecticut Chapter National Association of Teachers Singing Regional Competition. Other performing credits include Ferrando in Mozart’s “Cosí Fan Tutte” with the Matador Opera Workshop at Texas Tech University, The Prince in Warren Martin's "A True Story of Cinderella" at the Fountain Music Series of Ridgefield, and a tenor section leader in the Opera Theater of Connecticut’s productions of Puccini’s “Tosca”, Donizetti’s “L’Elisir D’Amore”, and Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville”.
Recently, he has conducted for NHAOPA productions such as “The Little Mermaid Jr”, “Madagascar Jr”, “The Wedding Singer”, “Ghost the Musical”, “Heathers the Musical”, and “Beauty and The Beast Jr”.
He also plays a wide variety of  instruments including piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, and trumpet.

Edwin Rodríguez es un tenor profesional puertorriqueño de New Haven, CT, bilingüe en inglés y español. Es profesor de estudio de entrenador de nivel avanzado en la Academia de Artes Escénicas de New Haven y el actual director de Cabaret en el Teatro Principal.
