I was destined to be on the stage when my mom went into labor for me at her niece’s dance recital. My parents had me in dance classes by the age of four and it wasn’t long before I was hooked. I discovered early on that I absolutely loved to be on stage which also had the benefit of reaching out and entertaining others...making them happy in return. I intensely trained in all styles and genres through my youth and high school, attending competitions and conventions along the way, and finding any opportunity to be on stage. Teaching youth dance classes throughout this time helped me decide to finally make a career of it and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance alongside a Business Minor, from Dean College in MA. My focus was on choreography, instruction, creative development and of course, performance. It was through a successful audition at Dean that brought me to live in NYC to attend The Alvin Ailey School’s Independent Study Program. I continued classes at other schools as well and pursued my performance and choreographic career through music videos, showcases and events. I also joined the fitness scene as a Certified Instructor in various classes and eventually Pilates. I have been fortunate to continually teach a wide class range and develop diverse experience as an instructor to all ages and levels within fitness and dance.
Eventually I was able to fulfill my travel yearning when I was hired by Celebrity Cruise Lines as a dancer, where I would finally be touring the world doing exactly what I loved most. There were other opportunities to expand my horizons on board ships as well, such as teaching ballroom classes to guests and choreographing new pieces for the Holiday Shows for the cast, as Dance Captain. After some time, it was a new ship contract that introduced me to trapeze where I performed as a quad act, along with dancing. Before long I was completely enthralled by the circus world and wanting to learn as much as I possibly could. I set off for Vermont to train at New England Center for Circus Arts and trained in the Residency program and later graduated from the Protrack Program in 2015. Time here opened up my world as an artist and propelled me into newer areas of performance and creation with not just movement as a dancer and aerialist, but also with mime and having a voice as a clown. My passion for creation and breaking boundaries continues to grow every day and I’m interested in making waves of awareness through art!
