Stephani Buonocore has been performing professionally for over 25 years. As a young child, her love of performance was first recognized when she would stand on tables and chairs to entertain the patrons at her family's Italian restaurant. At the age of 10 her mother enrolled her in private voice lessons as well as modeling and acting classes. By 12 she was represented by a manager and going to auditions in New York City. Throughout her teens she competed in Talent America, performed in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Schubert in New Haven, CT and performed in an Opera written and performed by teens at Teen Opera Of New England. She attended the University of Connecticut with a Major in Psychology with a focus in child development. As an adult she has performed with the Madison Lyric Stage in productions of Salome as well as Evita. She has performed in groups such as "Withoutaband" and was the lead singer in the country band "Reckon It". Stephani was hand selected by Billy DiCrosta to join the New Haven Academy of Performing Arts in September of 2016 and she couldn't be more thrilled to be apart of such an amazing school. Since then she has been studying privately with Billy and has earned her NHAOPA Certification to teach Mix Technique. She is also an Accredited Voice Teacher with International Voice Teachers of Mix. She is very passionate about helping her students find their voice and building on what they have in a healthy and encouraging environment. Stephani's prior training is in classical voice and has sung Opera in many concert settings . She has found the with Mix Technique she has been able to be a true cross over artist and has been able to expand her repertoire to include everything from Broadway hits to rock groups HEART and Evanescence. She prides herself in the ability to sing any style thanks to the Mix Technique and is excited to be able to teach it to her students, giving them the ability to sing in a multitude of styles.

My daughter Camryn is approaching her one year anniversary with New Haven Academy of Performing Arts. NHAOPA has been a dream come true. The staff are exceptional, it feels like home as soon as you walk in, the students are being stretched far more than I could ever imagine to show all the gifts and talents they possess. I would like to publicly acknowledge Ms. Stephanie, (voice lesson instructor) for being such an inspiration, to not only my daughter, but to the NHAOPA family. You've have displayed nothing but patience, a sincere heart, a desire to push students passed their expectations to show them their true potential. I'm appreciate your time (every week) you spend with Camryn, you've made this journey easier for me. Ms. Stephanie keep pushing forward, this is just the beginning!!! Best wishes!! Camryn and Yolanda
